In mid-June, 2023 Chapter 1361 held another Young Eagles Build & Fly session in which 8 kids, together with their adult and graduate mentors built a radio-controlled model aircraft over a 5-day period. Then on the following Sunday, Father’s Day, the group and their families gathered at the Reno-Radio Control Club flying field to fly the completed model.
During the week the kids didn’t just work on the model kit, they also heard presentations from guest speakers, visited the Stead Airport control tower, got to see the inside of a visiting corporate jet and took a tour of some of the aircraft and organization hangars on the airport.
