An Update on iPad Aviation Alerts

posted in

ForeFlight for the iPhone and iPad is the most popular of the tablet applications for aviation use. The folks at ForeFlight are continually updating the application with new capabilities and user options. It’s a good idea to do a bit reading now and then to refresh your memory of its capabilities and to learn about the now ones that have been added while you weren’t looking.

One of the really useful capabilities that have been upgraded are the ForeFlight alerts and notifications, especially if you have a Bluetooth-capable aviation headset. Visual and aural alerts can be set for a long list of conditions before,  during and even after your flight.

Here is a good review of the different types of ForeFlight alerts and notifications along with instructions on how to set and activate their use – from the folks at Sporty’s in their online iPad Pilot News.
