Chapter Fly-out Day dawned clear and cold with the promise of warming up by the afternoon. Four planes made the short trek down to Minden for a good breakfast at the Taildragger Cafe, fun flying and great hangar stories.

Three more planes would have been in attendance except for some unexpected maintenance issues. I’m sure that they’ll be in attendance next time.

Doug says that everyone had such a good time that he is going to try and schedule at least one a month. A lot of great ideas were brought out during breakfast by the attendees.

One change that we will probably see is a set time to meet at the fly-out destination rather than the morning departure point. That way each plane can plan their own route and departure time for a desired arrival time based upon their cruising speed. We’re still learning.
