Thanks to all of our great chapter volunteers who helped out with the Young Eagles event on Saturday, October 3rd. Chapter 1361 flew 22 flights and gave 41 kids a taste of what aviation is all about.

Thanks also to Mike Scott and the Reno-Stead airport crew who provided us with a table full of munchies and drinks to help keep our energy up during the event. And many thanks to Jonnica Bowen from the North Valleys Library and her crew who had a great display with library handouts and their photo booth set-up for the kids (and adults) to take advantage of while they waited for their turn to fly.

Jan Bishop, in addition to presenting our Young Eagles introduction video and safety presentation brought several great STEM science experiments directed toward aviation and how aircraft fly. Special thanks also go out to Cecelia Cromer-Hill and Denise Nickel, Girl Scout troop leaders who helped Jan with the experiments.

Everyone seemed to have a great time at the event and all the kids appeared to have permanent smiles on their faces after completing their flights.
