Our Young Eagles event on April 28th was cut short because of unfavorable weather in the Reno area. We were able to complete 25 bumpy flights but were forced to stop flying with 11 more kids still waiting to fly.

We scheduled a follow-up event on May 5th just before out regularly scheduled Chapter meeting. Eight of the original eleven kids were able to return to Stead for their flights and four new registrations were completed, the classroom briefings completed and the kids flown.

For our 2-day even we were able to complete 37 young Eagles flights – a job well done, especially considering the conditions on the April date.

A big thanks goes out to the six pilots and dozens of ground crew volunteers who made the events possible.
