The speaker at our chapter get-together on March 7th was chapter member Rick LaRoche. He gave an excellent presentation on his recently completed build of a Rans S-21 Outbound.

His talk covered the entire process from selecting the S-21 out of all of the currently available EAB options through receiving the kit and working on it through completion of the kit and the airworthiness inspection that resulted in receiving an airworthiness certificate. Then he discussed the flight test procedure, how the flying went and the followup application and receipt of the Repairman Certificate for his aircraft.
It was an extensive presentation with slides of professional quality covering the high points.
Then we moved out the the flight line in front of the terminal where Rick had parked the S-21 and gave everyone a chance to inspect the plane in person.
Rick will be using his S-21 to fly Young Eagles at our April 4th Rally.
