Event check-in begins at 8:30 am in the Reno-Stead Airport Terminal. After checking in at the lobby desk, participants will move upstairs to the main meeting room for a bit of social time with other participants and EAA Chapter 1361 members. Coffee and donuts will be available.

At about 9 am the formal presentations will begin during which the flight training process will be described, options for obtaining flight training in the local area will be discussed and representatives from local flight training schools, flying clubs and independent flight instructors will be introduced and then will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have.
All Flying Start participants will be offered an Eagle Flight after the presentations are completed. An Eagle Flight is a one-on-one event between the Flying Start participant and one of the EAA Chapter 1361 Eagle Flight pilots. Not all participants will be able to complete their Eagle Flight on the day of the event but all participants will be able to meet with an Eagle Flight pilot and schedule a mutually acceptable time for a flight to be conducted.
NOTE: This event will be conducted without regard to the weather conditions at the time of the presentation. If the weather conditions do not permit a safe and enjoyable flight on the day of the event, the participants and pilots will be able to schedule a mutually agreeable date/time in the future to complete the Eagle Flight.
