As I mentioned during the last Chapter Meeting, EAA National has instituted a new program that is trying to encourage EAA members to become more active in aviation and aviation-related activities.
Each month EAA National will issue an Aviation Challenge to the EAA general membership. The intent is that individual members will accept the challenge, accomplish the event and use social media to provide photos or updates commemorating the event using the social media hashtag #AVChallenge. EAA will then post the provided images in their social media account to entice additional members to participate.
I thought it would be a good opportunity to involve the entire chapter in challenges which can be completed as a group.
The April #AVChallenge is to visit an aviation museum.
Mike Reynolds is currently setting up a Chapter Fly-out to the Aerospace Museum of California at the McClellan Airport (KMCC) in Sacramento.
There are currently four Chapter members with flying aircraft, Me, Sandy Munns, Mike Reynolds and Dennis Koehl. Each of us has one or more open seats for the flight. If you want to join in the fun, contact one of the pilots and see if they have a seat available.
