Out of an abundance of caution considering the recent Covid numbers and Washoe County meeting restrictions and recommendations, the Chapter Board of Directors has decided to postpone the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner until March 19, 2022. An email notice will be sent to all current and potential ticket holders which will give more information.

Each year EAA Chapter 1361 recognizes the important contribution rendered by those individuals who have volunteered and helped the Chapter conduct it’s events throughout the previous year.
This year our Volunteer Recognition Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022. We have once again reserved the upstairs meeting room at Pinnochio’s Bar & Grill, 5995 S. Virginia, Reno, NV 89502.
The event will start at 5 PM with some social time. The dinner serving line will be open by 5:45. We will recognize some of our Chapter volunteers beginning at 6:30 and our guest speaker will start at 7 PM.
The story of the Cessna Aircraft Corporation will be the program for the January 15 dinner meeting. Our speaker will be Janice Cessna Clarke, long time Reno resident, and the only granddaughter of Cessna Aircraft Company founder, Clyde V. Cessna. Janice will share her personal story of this early 20th century industrialist, from his early days on the Kansas farm, to his first flight, just 7 years after the Wright Brothers. The founding of the company, and the personal struggles of this aviation pioneer will be told through family pictures and stories.
Anyone who has supported the Chapter or is a supporter of any facet of aviation is invited to attend the Volunteer Recognition Dinner. This year, with the pandemic curtailing all of our fundraising activities and the increases in costs we have all experienced, we are asking all dinner attendees to purchase a ticket on this website for $30/person to help cover the cost of the dinner (this will be a $70 prime rib dinner).
