On May 5th before our regularly scheduled Chapter meeting we were able to finish up our Young Eagles flights from April 28th. Twelve more kids were able to experience personal flying for the first time.
We flew 25 Young Eagles last Saturday before the winds forced us to stop flying. We will be conducting Young Eagles flights for those who registered last week but were unable to get their flight completed on May 5th beginning at 8 am.

EAA Chapter 1361 held its second Young Eagle event of 2017 on October 21st. This event was held for local Girl Scout and Boy Scout organizations. For the first time our Young Eagles event was held at the Reno-Stead Airport Freedom Terminal. Eight pilots volunteered their time and aircraft to provide free Young Eagle orientation flights to 84 new or returning Young Eagles during the event.
Even though it was a bit warm at the Reno-Stead Airport we had a great time flying with our Young Eagles participants. We have included some photos of the event.
